On this blog you will find all sorts of information and trivia related to Piet Bervoets & Benno de Goeij's most successful and most famous Electronic music project: Rank 1. The aim has been to use as many primary sources to link but to offer a hub where all that information is centralized. As such, The Rank 1 Fan Blog seeks to function as the most complete archive on this Legendary Trance duo. Why I created this blog
❓ For starters, I've wanted to do something for Rank 1 as a grateful gesture for ages now. Their music has brought me so much joy and fun throughout the years! I also noticed the (now-defunct, sadly :(( ) Bervoets & De Goeij page wasn't being updated anymore so I decided to do something about it myself.
❓ Then there is the fact that even though the above-mentioned site provides all of Piet & Benno's productions ever, it does not list the Rank 1 DJ sets nor the stories behind the gentlemen. I thought it would be nice to have one single location where all this information is stored.
❓As the collection of miscellanous information grew larger and larger, I began to desire a more direct link to the initial inspiration for this blog. Symsonic 1 was born to be a more direct reflection of the Unoffical Bervoets & De Goeij website. Once I had every post up on Symsonic 1.
❓ Once Symsonic 1 was finished content-wise (all relevant posts were up), I felt I could take it a step further by making another "sibling" blog, only this time to cover all the Piet and/or Benno projects that were NOT counted as Rank 1 tracks. And so Symsonic 2 was born.
❓ Unfortunately I don't have any web-building skills so that's why I chose this blog-format. Enjoy the read, and I hope you will find what you are looking for. :)
