| Hey there you Rank 1 heads! I've been a bit quiet on my end, work has been killing and I haven't had quite the same energy as before to keep up with all the music happenings through the blog. Rest assured though, I've been reading/listening along and Benno has been very busy in the studio! Besides making a bunch of new Trancers and Norderfelds, he also dug up a UNRELEASED The Quest track!! So in this post we''ll have a look at all the cool stuff he's shared recently! And it's a LOT! |

| In this clip Benno shares a brand new ID he's about to finish and he asks us which label he should send this too? The first question in my mind is... What alias is he planning to release this under? :D |
| Since Benno is on a Revival Streak of sorts... Could this potentially be the first new Benicio since "No Release" from 2004?? What do you think? |

| In this clip Benno explains how creativity cannot be forced and he used to overwork himself in his younger years. Now that he's older and wiser he's found the formula that works for him. Take some time off from music every now and then: suddenly, when you head back to the studio, you easily craft two brand new Trancers two days in-a-row followed by a new ambient Norderfeld piece in the evening! |
| So could this be the follow-up to "Round Trip"? Or might Benno be thinking of a "Benicio" revival?? And what label should he send it to? We're inclined to say High Contrast, Black Hole or Pure Trance! |

| Looks like Benno dug up another gem from the DAT Tapes treasure trove! This clip hilariously sees him reprimand his old '90s self for poorly tracklisting his demos. xD |

| More studio hilarity between these legends. xD Just watch and enjoy the studio shenanigans first, then we'll talk music business. :) |
| Alright! So even though the clip hails from September 15th, the recording itself is from their Friday session on the 11th. That Friday, Benno actually posted footage on his Instagram stories revealing a sinister dramatic violin melody/breakdown with Piet beside him. They seemed positive about the result so far! |
| A little detective work revealed the track was named something along the lines of "Rank 1 11 september ID" or "Rank 1 11 september untitled". As of today there's been no mastering screenshots from Benno so it's too early to say when or in what capacity this new Rank 1 ID will make its way to us fans. |
| Speculation: This could either be the follow-up to "Reuneyeted" (the likely follow-up to "Serotonin" which is yet to be released but mastered and ready to go) OR it could potentially become its "B-Side". That would effectively make this duo of tracks the "Black Snow / The Citrus Juicer" of this new era... |
| It would also mark only the fourth time Piet and Benno have released a two-track EP under the Rank 1 guise... Either way, super stoked for this one! :D |

| Just an Ordinary Day for the Maestro as he shows what a day for him might look like with exercise, coffee (the vital element), studio time, online chess match vs. Piet (just like old times!!), lunch, For Those Who Dare promotion and of course studio time divided between making a brand new Trance banger (ID #5) and a brand new Norderfeld gem (ID #6)! |

| Is this a new Norderfeld?! It sounds quite punchy/club-oriented but man, what a track!! The bassline is hypnotic as h*ll and the synthplay is so raw! Can't wait for this one!! |
